5 Tips To Get Organized for Good
Have you been trying to get organized, but just haven’t found the time? Now is the perfect time with spring just around the corner. Check out these 5 tips to ensure you get organized and stay organized.
- Spring Cleaning Bucket
Fill a bucket with all the basics you need to efficiently clean a room so you can easily grab it and go on your way from room to room and get your cleaning done. The more efficient you make the bucket, the easier it will be to get in the cleaning spirit.
- De-Clutter Pots and Pans
Nest your pots, but where do you put the lids? Install a few metal towel bars inside the pantry doors, simple ones that stand out about 2 inches should work best. Slide the lids behind the bar so the knob or handle catches on the rail and holds the lid in place.
- Install a shoe rack
Instead of having your shoes strewn all over the place in your room, install a preprimed picture rail molding in your room. Attach them to the wall with construction adhesive, hammer finishing nails every 18 inches, and hang your favorite shoes up in an organized fashion.
- Purge Your Closet
Follow the golden rule, if you haven’t worn it in a year, you probably won’t wear it again. Consider donating these pieces or reselling them if they’re still in good fashion and wear.
- Sort the Mail!
File into 4 categories: bills, subscriptions, invitations, and miscellaneous. Feeling ambitious? Pay the bills and/or renew the subscriptions. If you aren’t, you just organized them for later on and if anything new comes in you can file them right away.
